Potter/Kiln Info: Heian Kosen, born in Kyoto in 1933, also known as Yoshikazu Hashimoto, was a self-taught potter who started working with clay in 1965. He initially used a climbing kiln but had to change his methods due to environmental reasons. Inspired by Heian Tofukuji, he focused on perfecting intricate glazes throughout his pottery journey, which concluded with his passing in 2014.
