Koyo - Fuyo-En Commissioned Nanban Bonsai Pot (7-9/16" wide)
Koyo - Fuyo-En Commissioned Nanban Bonsai Pot (7-9/16" wide)
Koyo - A stellar Koyo nanban that was commissioned by the famous Fuyo-en Nursery in Japan. These are available from time to time and this one happens to have an unusually deeper bowl than the more bunjin oriented height of many others.
This pot is new old stock, unused, and has Koyo’s signature and the chop that denotes it having been commissioned by Fuyo-en. I’m proud to offer you pots that I find fantastic. Thank you very much for your interest. Enjoy 😊
Outer Dimensions:
7-9/16” diameter x 2-3/8” tall

Potter/Kiln Info: Koichirou Aiba, born in 1944, stands as one of Japan's esteemed potters, having garnered significant popularity. Although recently deceased, he shared familial ties as the husband of 'Kouso' and the father of 'Juko' (Kuniaki Aiba). The legacy extends further with Juko currently overseeing the Koyo kiln, established by Koichirou in 1970. Notably, Koichirou hails from a lineage of potters, although their expertise traditionally extends beyond the realm of bonsai containers.
