Koyo - Classic Oribe Glazed Rectangle Bonsai Pot (6-5/16" wide)
Aiba Koichirou “Koyo” - This beautiful oribe glaze is instantly recognizable as a Koyo pot. The intricacies of the color changes create wonderful detail. This is a very collectible bonsai pot that was commissioned for Fuyo-en gardens and has all three of the associated signatures/chops.
This pot is new old stock, unused, and has Koyo’s signature, his square chop (stamp), and the rectangular chop denoting the Fuyo-en commission on the bottom. I’m proud to offer you pots that I find fantastic. Thank you very much for your interest. Enjoy 😊

Potter/Kiln Info: Koichirou Aiba, born in 1944, stands as one of Japan's esteemed potters, having garnered significant popularity. Although recently deceased, he shared familial ties as the husband of 'Kouso' and the father of 'Juko' (Kuniaki Aiba). The legacy extends further with Juko currently overseeing the Koyo kiln, established by Koichirou in 1970. Notably, Koichirou hails from a lineage of potters, although their expertise traditionally extends beyond the realm of bonsai containers.
