Aiba Koichirou “Koyo” - A stellar oribe glaze is draped over a classic and functional rectangle pot. The details in this glaze are unmistakably Koyo and it is offered at a low price.
A small glaze bubble is evident on one side, but the symmetry of the bubble actually adds quite interesting character.

Potter/Kiln Info: Koichirou Aiba, born in 1944, stands as one of Japan's esteemed potters, having garnered significant popularity. Although recently deceased, he shared familial ties as the husband of 'Kouso' and the father of 'Juko' (Kuniaki Aiba). The legacy extends further with Juko currently overseeing the Koyo kiln, established by Koichirou in 1970. Notably, Koichirou hails from a lineage of potters, although their expertise traditionally extends beyond the realm of bonsai containers.
